World of Wheels for CASA with Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George’s County
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) invites transportation enthusiasts and families alike to join together for an afternoon of fun that will benefit abused and neglected children in foster care. The non-profit?s 5th annual Pepco World of Wheels for CASA, presented by Council Member Deni Taveras, is a Touch-A-Truck and Family Festival that will take place Saturday, October 15th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at DeMatha Catholic High School.

Festival del Rio Anacostia with Anacostia Watershed Society
The Anacostia Watershed Society is excited to announce the first ever “Festival del Rio Anacostia,” an environmental/cultural festival to connect the Latino community with the Anacostia River and its restoration. Held at Bladensburg Waterfront Park, AWS and their partners will offer free boat rides, fishing, and other recreational activities.
