Artful Living: Seeing the Beauty Within with Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread presents Artful Living: Seeing the Beauty Within, an evening of Art, Wine and Strengthening Community in association with the Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts Festival. The evening will include a juried art show, with art works in a variety of media from local artists that will be available for sale. Live music by Latin-jazz band Batida Diferente. Wine from Pearmund Cellars and food by Dolce Vita. Craft beer tasting. A live auction, including a Washington Nationals/Meet Jayson Werth experience. Proceeds support Our Daily Bread’s work to move struggling Fairfax County area residents from a place of need to one of self-sufficiency. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts scholarship fund.

New Play Festival (Night 3) with Young Playwrights’ Theater

The New Play Festival is an annual celebration of bold new voices. Each year Young Playwrights’ Theater honors plays from a diverse group of YPT students in a production that celebrates the playwright’s craft. Professional actors, dramaturges and directors collaborate with student writers to create an evening of dynamic theater. YPT is proud to honor the bold, gritty and bright new voices of young writers. A reception will take place at 6:30 pm with a 7:00 pm performance.
