Victory Road – The World Premiere

Bowen McCauley Dance Company
BMD teams up with Jason and the Scorchers, credited by Rolling Stone Magazine for rewriting the history of rock-n-roll in the South, for the world premiere of Victory Road. Inspired by the music of Jason Ringenberg, Lucy transforms his stories and songs into movement a journey of hope, tragedy, and triumph. The band and the Company unite on stage for an electrifying performance about a boy who leaves his hometown with the dream of becoming a rock star in the 1980′s.

7th Annual Earth Day Celebration

Join BCR and Cellava for the 7th Annual Inclusive Earth Day. Lunch will be provided for all participants. Event will take place rain or shine! Calleva has made arrangements with PCR for transportation to and from the event, with a van leaving the Our Lady of Mercy parking lot (9200 Kentsdale Dr., Potomac, MD) at 9:30am and returning at 2:00pm.

Coast-to-Coast for a Cause Launch Party

Phoenix Bikes
Come support Nathan as he starts out on his Coast-to-Coast for a Cause ride to benefit Phoenix Bikes! Nathan will be launching his cross country journey from the shop and heading west along the W&OD trail for the first of over 3500 miles across the USA during the next 4 months. We will have some refreshments and you can join us to just to give him a high five and wave goodbye or you can ride alongside him for the first few miles to cheer him on (the first part of the Team Phoenix Youth ride that day will be joining Nathan as well). Stewards of Children Training

Safe Shores – The DC Children’s Advocacy Center
Participate in Stewards of Children and gain information necessary to protect children and ensure they grow up healthy and safe in DC. Stewards of Children teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children, including community members and professionals that work with youth. The training includes a discussion about critical issues in sexual abuse prevention and a video sharing the voices of survivors and experts in the field.
