Announcement: Volunteers Needed!
On Saturday, June 18, The Theatre Lab will be hosting its first-ever Amazing Race! The one-day event is a scavenger hunt to secure donated items which will later be auctioned off at the annual Cabaret benefit this November. Small teams of volunteer racers, 2 to 4 people each, will be assigned to certain areas of DC. They will be provided with a list of potential items to gather, but are free to obtain goods and services not on the list as well. The items will have point values (!), and the teams will be able to win prizes based on the values of the items gathered.
The day begins at 10:00 AM at The Theatre Lab (733 8th Street NW) with coffee and donuts and specific instructions before the racers are sent off and given all day to try and obtain as many donations as possible. They will reconvene at The Theatre Lab at 5:00 PM for the tallying of points, awarding of prizes, and a pizza party.
Interested? Call The Theatre Lab at 202-824-0449, or email Jeff Scott at jeff@theatrelab.org. You can volunteer as an individual or in at a team — both are great!
