East of the River STEM and Arts Fest

The Fishing School

Bring Your Students to the East of the River STEM + Arts Fest on June 5! The Fishing School invites DC-area youth-serving organizations to bring your elementary-aged students (grades 1-5) to our inaugural East of the River STEM + Arts Fest on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM at Ron Brown College Preparatory High School (4800 Meade Street NE). This free, family-friendly event will engage 200+ children through 15+ interactive STEM and arts activity booths, youth-led performances, music, refreshments, and hands-on learning experiences—all designed to inspire young minds from low-income communities in Wards 7 and 8 to see themselves as innovators, problem-solvers, and creators.
