Imagine a place that celebrates the visual, invites novices, challenges artists, and educates youth and adults in an environment focused on excellence and creativity. In the heart of Rockville, VisArts does just that. Each year, 35 free exhibitions feature established and emerging artists in four contemporary gallery spaces. The studio artist program provides work spaces for up to six artists who also serve as instructors and further engage the public through artist talks and exhibitions. Educational programs from summer camps, to after-school programs, to corporate team-building workshops reach audiences of all ages and interests. And the VisAbility Art Lab creates an inclusive space for young adults with disabilities to make art while gaining work and life experiences. All told, VisArts reaches 30,000 individuals each year, bringing people together to connect and create. Art makes us human; your support affirms our common humanity.
