General Information
- Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASA volunteers are regular citizens like you, appointed by the courts, who have been trained to advocate for neglected and abused children in the foster care court system-trained to assure that that the rights and needs of these children are at the forefront of decisions that are being made by judges and lawyers and family members.
For many neglected and abused children their CASA volunteer is the only reliable adult presence in their lives. And that single volunteer can often be enough to break the cycle of violence and neglect- not just for one child, but for generations to come.
Join us until every child in need has a CASA volunteer to look out for their needs. The children are waiting for us. They are waiting for you! - Types of Volunteers Needed: individual/adult; adult groups of less than 5
- Hours Needed: business hours during the week; evenings during the week
