General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Individuals and groups of volunteers play a vital role in supporting APAH's Resident Services Program. We invite you to find a volunteer activity or project that is meaningful for you!

    Ongoing opportunities include child care and children's activity leaders, reading volunteers and helpers at our weekly onsite food distributions. Administrative, fundraising and office support are also always welcome.

    Volunteers are invited to teach ESL, computer classes or educational classes at our properties, based on your own interests and skills.

    Volunteers help support community events including summer picnics, fall health fairs and winter holiday parties.

    Corporate, faith-based and other large groups volunteer with us for special service projects based on availability, group size and interests. Past activities have included community clean-ups, outdoor beautification projects and community parties for residents.

    Volunteers can also collect supplies for our holiday gift drive in the fall or backpack drive in the summer.
  • Types of Volunteers Needed: individual/adult; adult groups of less than 5; individual/high school; families with children; adult groups of 6 or more, including corporate teams; adult groups of 6 or more, including corporate teams
  • Hours Needed: business hours during the week; evenings during the week; daytime on the weekend
