Of the six million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, 66% live at home with family and other caregivers, and the number is growing exponentially. As the only licensed day center in the region focused specifically on persons with dementia, IMCC is dedicated to caring for them, and providing education and support for their families. An innovative, early stage program offers opportunities for socialization and cognitive stimulation. Art, music therapy, and physical therapy are offered five days a week to those with mid- to late-stage dementia. Specialized activities and help with personal care support those with more advanced disease. Free education and support programs for caregivers and financial assistance to families who can’t afford its services are key. With IMCC’s help – and yours – patients can age in place, surrounded by loved ones, for as long as possible.
