General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: At any time, Volunteer Fairfax lists around 60 events on our web portal, offering opportunities that suit individuals with diverse lifestyles, skills, interests, and availability. Our volunteers support agencies that feed, clothe, and house thousands of families in Northern Virginia, and work with the park system, public schools and libraries, and dozens of nonprofits focused on literacy, culture, economic opportunity, and senior support.

Call 703.246.3892 or email volsrus@volunteerfairfax.org to ask about one-time evening or weekend projects through Volunteers for Change, ongoing daytime opportunities through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, or our community-wide days of service – VolunteerFest in October and family-friendly GiveTogether in January.
