General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Mentoring is the cornerstone of CPE's program. Mentors give students the emotional, social, and academic guidance needed to get to and through college. CPE carefully selects and trains college-educated volunteer mentors to serve as role models, friends, and resources for our students. Each mentor makes a minimum two-year commitment to work one-on-one with a student via weekly check-ins and monthly in-person interactions.

CPE’s Recruitment and Selection team carefully matches mentor and mentee based on a sophisticated algorithm that factors in interests, career aspirations, and personality.

To be considered, mentors must be college graduates, complete training provided by CPE, interview with CPE staff, pass background check, and provide references.
