Enjoy Great Music …

On Saturday at 8:00 & Sunday at 3:00 PM, National Philharmonic presents an “All Beethoven” evening; tickets over this way. Enjoy an afternoon of exquisite solo virtuosity from the Washington Bach Consort on Sunday at 3:00 PM at the National Presbyterian Church (tickets here) or catch the American Youth Philharmonic‘s “Orchestral Brilliance,” also at 3:00 PM.

Meet or Support a Local Nonprofit …

At 10:30 AM, Shelter House invites you to attend their 30th Anniversary Mini-Walk and Open House and become an essential part of ending homelessness and domestic violence. At 6:30 PM on Saturday, Perry School Community Services Center presents its 2011 Gala, “Team Up: An Evening of Fun and Philanthropy” at the National Education Association; tickets right here. And on Sunday at 2:00 PM, come meet the people of L’Arche Greater Washington DC and tour their cozy homes at the annual fall open houses; more information right here.

Experience Arts & Dance …

Head to THEARC on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for family-friendly activities, live performances, and food, plus learn about programs with THEARC’s partners; more information here. ClancyWorks Dance Company, now in its 10th anniversary season (and particularly notable for its dynamic partnering work) comes to Dance Place on Saturday at 8:00 PM & Sunday at 4:00 PM; tickets this way! And on Sunday at 7:30 PM, catch New Releases Performances by DC Artists at the DC Arts Center; all proceeds from the show go to DCAC in their continuing mission to support emerging and established artists.
