  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: For volunteers seeking hands on experience, or peer educator program enables individuals to educate students and help them achieve youth activism and become peer leaders. Break the Cycle’s prevention education programs are implemented in Metro DC schools and community centers. This program, entitled Healthy Relationships 101 and Start Talking 101, encompasses in-class presentations, after-school activities, staff training, parent engagement and guidance at the administrative level.

    Our organization offers internships for individuals seeking to gain hands-on work experience while committing themselves to social change. Break the Cycle interns build skills that can be applied to careers in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors. Available internships include positions in the legal, programs and policy fields.
