Restore Rock Creek On Giving Tuesday
Rock Creek Conservancy
$100: One tree planted. Trees are important in stopping erosion and keeping Rock Creek's ecosystem healthy.
$250: 10 rakes, shovels, or pruners. Our staff and volunteers need tools to get their work done!
$500: 100 trees cleared of English Ivy. The Conservancy has cleared 13,000 trees in the watershed since 2013.
$1,000: 10 Stream Team leaders trained. Stream Teams adopt and care for sections of Rock Creek.
$2,500: 250 native wildflowers. In July, the Conservancy planted 1,850 wildflowers in a single patch along the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway. More than just a beautification effort, native wildflowers boost native pollinators and help stop erosion.
$5,000: One full rain garden installation. Rain gardens help limit pollution and erosion. A single 100 sq ft rain garden can catch 728 gallons of water when it rains, keeping it out of Rock Creek.
