Join Girls on the Run of NOVA for LUNAFEST - a traveling collection of award-winning short films by, for, and about women. Come enjoy an evening of reflection, hope and humor and help raise funds to support Girls on the Run of NOVA as well as the Breast Cancer Fund.
This season’s program of six selected films will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Incredibly diverse in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling - by, for and about women.
Purchase a VIP ticket and join us before the screening. You'll meet Board members and other supporters while enjoying heavy hors d'oeuvres in the elegantly appointed private lounge overlooking Angelika's stunning chandelier.
Description of Volunteer Opportunities/Responsibilities:
Girls on the Run of NOVA relies on more than 500 volunteers each season and another 250 for our 5K weekends. Opportunities include serving as a coach, supporting the end of season 5K, helping in the GOTR NOVA office, and much more:
Coaches are the backbone of the GOTR NOVA program. Serving as a coach is one of the most rewarding ways to get involved with Girls on the Run. Our volunteer coaches lead their teams through the Girls on the Run-developed curriculum, stretching and running activities, and training for the end-of-season 5K.
Team Adelaide volunteers conduct site visits on behalf of GOTR NOVA, acting as a communication channel and bridge between our office and the teams.
5K Event Volunteers serve as greeters, buddy runners, course marshals, manage start and finish lines, water stops, and much more.
Office Volunteers support a variety of behind-the-scenes needs including development, program administration, and more. Internships are available.
