General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Girls on the Run of NOVA relies on more than 500 volunteers each season and another 250 for our 5K weekends. Opportunities include serving as a coach, supporting the end of season 5K, helping in the GOTR NOVA office, and much more:

Coaches are the backbone of the GOTR NOVA program. Serving as a coach is one of the most rewarding ways to get involved with Girls on the Run. Our volunteer coaches lead their teams through the Girls on the Run-developed curriculum, stretching and running activities, and training for the end-of-season 5K.

Team Adelaide volunteers conduct site visits on behalf of GOTR NOVA, acting as a communication channel and bridge between our office and the teams.

5K Event Volunteers serve as greeters, buddy runners, course marshals, manage start and finish lines, water stops, and much more.

Office Volunteers support a variety of behind-the-scenes needs including development, program administration, and more. Internships are available.
