General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Our volunteer opportunities include Garden Workdays and Open Times. We invite both individuals and groups to join, and no prior gardening experience is needed. We update cityblossoms.org/calendar with volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Garden Workdays are dedicated volunteer days where we tackle larger projects in our gardens across the city. Tasks can range from seasonal maintenance to redesigning or building a brand-new garden. Workdays typically take place on Saturday mornings and Tuesday - Friday afternoons during the spring and fall seasons. View events and sign up at cityblossoms.org/calendar. Groups of five or more should email cara@cityblossoms.org before signing up.

Open Times consist of weekly drop-in programming at our Community Green Spaces. Individuals and groups of five or fewer are welcome to join and help with garden maintenance tasks like watering and weeding, no RSVP required. We have a “you help, you harvest” policy, so you may take produce home if it’s available. View our cityblossoms.org/calendar for the weekly schedule. Groups of five or more should email cara@cityblossoms.org to check availability.
