Mozart's Don Giovanni
The newly commissioned English adaptation by DC writer Bari Biern and stage director Tom Mallan explores the famous opera’s themes of seduction, honor, obsession, crime and punishment, in a 1920s American religious revival setting. The Biern-Mallan team created last season's blockbuster hit, a Wild West version of Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio. Mozart & DaPonte’s dramma giocoso , Don Giovanni is universally recognized as one of the most perfect operas in the entire repertory.
