- Description of Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Volunteers in the RESET program are working or retired scientists and engineers who partner with Pre-K, elementary, and middle school teachers to deliver six sessions (per term) of hands-on science lessons and experiments. Many volunteers also conclude their term with a field trip that RESET provides to schools free of charge. Volunteers are provided with training and preparation materials that acclimate them to the classroom, and has a Volunteer Skills Developer who is available to observe them in the classroom and provide feedback.
In the last few years, RESET has broadened its service offerings to include Pre-K child development centers, middle schools, charter schools, Saturday sessions, summer schools, and extended-day programs.
