Children’s Book Reading

Reach Incorporated
Join Reach Incorporated to hear DC teen authors bring their children’s books to life. After the reading, you can buy books and get them signed by the teen authors! Proceeds from the book sales will fund Reach’s Summer Program, during which teens create children’s books to engage and inspire young readers. We look forward to seeing you! Christmas with FCS: Christmas Comes Anew

Fairfax Choral Society
Welcome in the holiday season with over two hundred voices of the Fairfax Choral Society as we present Christmas Comes Anew. This year’s concert features new and highly imaginative arrangements of many of your favorite Christmas carols, including Patapan, In the Bleak Midwinter, I Saw Three Ships and O Come, All Ye Faithful. The FCS Symphonic Chorus, Master Singers, and Concert Choir will join together with the church’s magnificent five-manual pipe organ, a battery of percussionists, piano, harp, flute, oboe, cello and handbells to bring you traditional Yuletide carols as you have never heard them before! Invite your family and friends to join us for this popular celebration of Christmas.

National Philharmonic Singers Holiday Concert

Community Ministries of Rockville
The National Philharmonic Singersm conducted by Stan Engebretson and Victoria Gau, will be joined by The Takoma Ensemble at a concert of holiday music. Theey will perform a new work “Alleluia”, by popular American composer ERic Whitacre, as well as Christmas Classics.

Girls on the Run – DC Fall Community 5K

Girls on the Run – DC
Run Today. Build Tomorrow. Tomorrow they will be stronger; tomorrow they will be more confident; tomorrow they will make a difference, because today you take that small step, TODAY YOU RUN! Run with us at the 5K on Sunday, Dec. 7th at Anacostia Park.

Hear the Angels Sing!

Fairfax Choral Society
The combined Youth Choruses of the Central Campus bring you all the voices of angels! From our youngest cherubs in our Da Capo Choir to the seraphic harmonies from our Master Singers, our young people will lift your spirits with the sounds of the season. The concert will conclude with a stirring new arrangement of Brent Adams’, Hark! the Herald Angels Sing featuring the entire heavenly host in grand celebration.
